My flashcards

This is a daily memory trainer, not a quiz you finish once. Each day it shows only the cards you are about to forget; your answers — Again, Good, Easy — decide when each card comes back. Finishing today's cards means you are done until tomorrow, and a word leaves your deck only when you remove it. Add words from any vocabulary list, or tap + on a Picture Dictionary word or on a picture word in an illustrated reading lesson, to begin.

How to use it

  1. Add cards: on any word list, select the words you want and click “📆 Study as Flashcards”. Good starter decks: phrasal verbs, 100 basic words, idioms, or your level test study recommendations. On a Picture Dictionary topic, tap + on a word instead — it becomes a picture card: you see the picture and recall the English word.
  2. Review daily: flip the card, then grade yourself honestly — Again if you forgot, Good if you remembered, Easy if it was instant. The grade decides when the card returns.
  3. Trust the spacing: a card you keep marking Good stretches to weeks apart. That is the system working, not the card being forgotten.

Frequently asked questions

What is spaced repetition?
A review schedule based on how memory works: each time you remember a card, the next review comes later (1 day, then 3, then a week, then a month). Cards you miss come back quickly. You spend your time only on the words you are actually forgetting — it is the most efficient known way to memorize vocabulary.
How do I add cards?
Two ways. On any word list — for example the phrasal verbs or idioms pages — keep the words you want selected and click “📆 Study as Flashcards” in the toolbar. On any Picture Dictionary topic, tap + in the corner of a word; those come back as picture cards, where you see the picture and recall the English word. You can mix cards from as many pages as you like.
How many minutes a day does it take?
Usually 5 minutes or less. The system shows only the cards that are due today — often just a handful. The habit matters more than the session length: a small daily review beats a long weekly one.
Is it free? Where is my data stored?
Free, no sign-up. Your cards and schedule are saved only in this browser on this device — they never leave your computer. Clearing your browser data erases them, and another device starts fresh.
