Grammar Rush

Sixty seconds on the clock. Pick the correct form, keep your combo alive, and beat your best score. Wrong answers show the fix instantly — so even a bad round makes your grammar better.

How to play

  1. Choose your level: 🌱 beginner (A1–A2), 🌿 intermediate (B1–B2), or 🌳 advanced (B2).
  2. Press Start — you get 60 seconds.
  3. Read the sentence and click (or tap) the correct word or form. On a keyboard you can press 1–3.
  4. Correct answers score 100 × your combo. Three in a row raises the combo — ×2, ×3, up to ×4.
  5. A wrong answer briefly shows the correct choice, then the rush continues. Mistakes cost time, not points.
  6. When the clock hits zero, review your misses — each links to the page that teaches the rule.

Where the questions come from

Every question is a hand-written, single-correct item from the same banks that power Today's 10 — no auto-generated grammar here. To study the topics behind the game:

Frequently asked questions

Is one minute really enough to learn grammar?
One round teaches a little; the loop teaches a lot. Speed practice builds automaticity — choosing its vs it's without stopping to think — which is exactly what fluent writing and speaking need. Every wrong answer shows the correction immediately and links to the page that teaches the rule, so a 60-second round often ends with two or three mini-lessons.
What grammar does the game cover?
Verb forms and tenses, articles, prepositions, pronouns, comparatives, and the classic confused-word pairs (their/there, affect/effect, than/then…). The questions come from the same hand-audited banks as Today's 10, tagged by CEFR level: 🌱 beginner draws A1–A2 items, 🌿 intermediate B1–B2, and 🌳 advanced leads with the C1 and B2 items.
How does scoring work?
Each correct answer is worth 100 points times your combo multiplier. Three correct answers in a row raise the multiplier (×2, ×3, up to ×4); one mistake resets it to ×1. Your best score per level is saved in your browser — no account needed.
